UPDATE: Whoops, accidentally scheduled this post to go live at 9:00 PM today instead of 9:00 AM; alas, a power outage this morning (high winds in my neck of the woods) prevented me from noticing that error. Wellp, now that the power's back, here's the g-d post a tad belatedly, folks!

Behold, as my Christmas-season gift to you fine Patrons, all three pages of the wacky AF "Crappy Xmas TV-Movie" reboot from June 2023's Empowered vol. 12, riffing on the yearly onslaught of ultra-formulaic holiday-themed romcoms.

Looks like the Bigger Spenders saw an early preview of the first two pages of this oddball scene a year ago, but I held back the final page, for reasons that will become obvious.

A few words:

Those Yuletide gutters were a g-d nightmare, to put it mildly.

BTW, I'm experiencing an odd sense of deja vu over a seemingly recent positive comment re: the wee detail of Elissa's phone case, but for the life of me I can't figure out where the hell I would've posted this image lately to have received said compliment.

And now, the heretofore unseen (I think) final page of the scene:

Since Empowered vol. 12's cover illo quite deliberately spoils this bit, now I felt like I could show the concluding page to you fine Patrons.

Note also by this point in the scene, I belatedly said to myself, "Ehh, screw drawing these elaborate festive gutters."

Anyhoo, Merry F**ing Christmas, dear Patrons!

NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: We're rolling with 5 full weekdays worth of posts to finish off both December and the year of our Lord 2022, so stand by for plenty of content next week, folks!

Awesome, this was honestly the sequence I'd been looking forward to reading the most! Merry Christmas, Adam!

Amazing!

Fun Fact: There are or were several actual movie and TV producers named Mark Hall, including one reasonably famous one: if you've ever heard of Cosgrove Hall Animation (British maker of children's animation, most famous for Count Duckula and Danger Mouse), the Hall in that was Mark Hall.

Stuart Little

This is great, but I think Bros did a similar joke to this with a fictional Hallmark movie called "A Holly Poly Christmas". The perils of timing, I suppose.

Happy F**ing Holidays to all!

Ross Fisher-Davis

I feel like I should give Empowered books to my polycule...

Dave Van Domelen

I'd have gone with "Have a Poly-Jolly Christmas" (as sung by Burl Ives, of course), it scans a little better.

Burninator

Hang on, this whole poly thing better not be a plot to add some extra pathos to killing off Ninjette.

Strypgia

I'd watch this over any of those cookie-cutter Hallmark movies
