Once again, I'm doubling up with this week's sets of life drawings from random photoref. First above is a shading-oriented (and ab-focused) collection from October 2017, along with a sketchier, more gesture-focused (yet also ab-intensive) set from May 2017.

Note that we've (rather a while ago) crossed an important threshold with these Monday posts—both sketch sets are dated from 2017, meaning that the end of my once-formidable buffer of life drawings is in sight, if still rather a long ways off, as I cranked out life drawings almost daily through that year. So, folks, I might need to switch to single-set posts at some point later on in 2021 or early 2022. Gasp!

Below, enjoy the higher-res, raw and untweaked grayscale scans as PSD attachments.

NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: Who knows what might go up next? At the moment, not even me, thanks to the semi-randomized "M/W/F+" posting schedule! Golly!

I can't help it. On seeing the second page, all I could think was 'So, really working those abs today, eh?'

So there are anti-photoref snobs?

Burninator

Wait, your eyes don't have zoom capability?

Oh, you’d best believe it, though few of the live-model absolutists seem to be able to explain precisely why their preference is so infinitely superior to working from photos.

Will_K

Abs-solutely sketchy today...
