DISTRESSED DAMSELS: SF heroine "Lily" vs. SmileyBot, pt.1! (Patreon)
Content
Wellp, I'm down to the last few Dirty Pair--nay, Rose & Lily DiD commissions drawn for a generous friend, circa the early 2000s, in what was obviously the proto-Empowered B&W comic format.
Pity that I screwed myself by drawing Kei & Y**i-based damsels, as I theoretically might've been able to publish these comics elsewhere if the heroines looked unlike my licensed iteration of the DP. As is, these suckers will remain Patreon-exclusive for the foreseeable future.
This time around, a tragically underarmed "Lily" faces off against another, seemingly inexplicable iteration of the brain(chip)-damaged but terminally horny "Smileybot" from the last few issues of 1990-91's miniseries Dirty Pair: A Plague of Angels. Bad enough that Lily's "ElektroMag" pistol is far too wussy to take down a mecha, but getting catcalled by said mecha really adds insult to injury (or injured pride) for our hapless but fetching heroine.
Though my generous friend was commissioning DiD content, I can tell you that I must've amused myself by drawing the extended preamble to bondage as an action scene, albeit one with a notably higher cheesecake level (and high heels!) than my published DP stuff. In retrospect, not sure why 20-Years-Ago-Me didn't start the scene off with Lily already restrained, as previous "Rose & Lily" action scenes with a partially distressed heroine worked out quite nicely; sure beats trying to work up new poses for a fully distressed damsel, I can tell you. (My hat is off to artists who draw pin-uppy DiD content on a regular basis, as I've long ago proven myself unable to handle non-narrative illo-work for very long.)
Anyhoo, next time around, stand by for full-on DiD content as "Lily vs. SmileyBot" lurches to its predictably abrupt conclusion. (Lordy loo, I just spent a g-d hour and a half outta my critical morning workshift scanning and setting up this g-d post. Ouch!)
NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: The new "M/W/F+" posting schedule has kicked in with a non-fixed selection of posts, so who knows what the heck I might post next?
