After stumbling across this material at random t'other day, thought I might as start posting my work stages for the 2007(-ish) 8-page story Empowered: Who Da Ubermench?

Story and initial art by me; color art by the fine folks of the coloring studio Guru eFX, working over B&W originals drawn on full-sized, 10" X 15" linen-finish cardstock, as opposed to the wee 8.5" X 11" copy paper I normally draw the series on. (This format seemed like a viable compromise between my usual pencil-based technique and a fully inked, conventional comic format, as the latter did not appeal to me very much.)

Note that this story was originally done for the online anthology Dark Horse Comics on Myspace(!), before being reprinted in vol.4 of the main Empowered series.

I'll post the rest of this story's pages and work stages throughout this month, looks like.

NEXT MONDAY ON THIS HERE PATREON: As usual on a Monday, all Patrons can enjoy a double dose of life drawings circa 2017-18, along with the high-res scans for both sketch sets.

Very cool!

The Silver Socialist

I was really impressed and really appreciated how you made Emp really knowledgeable about cars and made that skillset organically useful in battle. The versatility and creativity in which it was implemented in the carshow story was particularly impressive.
