Posted these in reverse order of creation, so the best-looking one would be the main image you see! (Your Mileage May Vary as to which set looks the best, though.)

Anyhoo, behold three Clip Studio Paint sketch sets based on art requests from the $10 Patron tier. Brief notes to follow:

So one request was for what Emp's idealized superhero outfit might be, as opposed to her mercilessly clingy and revealing supersuit. I based the image above, and the one below, on a description Emp mentions in passing way back in Empowered vol.1.

Update: As loose as those Emp sketches might be, they're still based on photoref of THAT leather jacket, as seen in a few previous posts.

The other elements of the previous sets were sketches of Mulder and Scully from The X-Files, which proved surprisingly interesting. I can't really pull off resemblances (nor was I exactly trying to), but drawing from photoref brought up some compelling ideas about drawing faces. Might, in fact, do more of these!

Finally, an image of Natalie Portman as Evey (in the rain) from the V For Vendetta movie, and a pair of sketches of the model Stefania Ferrario, whom I've drawn for life-drawing sets before a time or two. TBH, Emp's modern-era physique isn't all that different from Ferrario's; I might do s'more sketches of her, too.

Tomorrow:  For the $5+ tiers, the 2003-era commissioned damsel-in-distress story Bizsuit Microskirt Blues continues in its proto-Empowered comics format, along with a slightly unusual bit of pose reference sent along by the original commissioner. (Gotta admit, using the term "commissioner" does lend a bit of a Jim-Gordon-ish flair to the whole deal...)

"Oh no! It's e.e.Cummings Man!" Sorry, Emp, your regular sleek full suit looks 'right'. The cape and jacket would be cool accessories, though.

Oh my gosh! The Evey piece came out beautiful! Thank you SO much, Adam!

Lex of Excel

A cape AND a jacket at once? Isn't that what longcoats are for?

Dean Reilly

That's quite a sinister-looking Fox Mulder...

I totally thought the 12/15 head was James Franco! I’ll never say no to Stefania drawings. Great stuff!
