Running waaaaay behind this morning, so here's a quick post featuring a trio of con sketches based on characters from Bubblegum Crisis, the late-80s anime for which I wrote and drew the 1994 Dark Horse miniseries Grand Mal.  (Never to be reprinted, alas , due to nightmarish rights issues.)

*Some wonky facial stuff going on the first sketch, but then again, 2002 was arguably the peak of my "hyperstylized facial structure"  period.

*Interestingly, the leather jacket in the second sketch is not based on that leather jacket, but a more conventional, heavier motorcycle-type one, from a photo I took of Elin Winkler when she was modeling for Roxy from Gen13.  Not sure if you can tell the difference, though.

*And that waist on Priss is way too skinny, but 2006 was a time was when what I call the "Mysteriously Intermittent Post-Millennial Torso Glitch" was in full effect.

Gotta say, daily posting here is quite clearly unsustainable in the long term, but I'll try to keep it rolling for a while longer.

The expressions on the first two are so nice~ Most of us don't mind if you don't post daily; a couple of times a week is plenty!

NOW what's wrong with her waist? You DO know that women's hips flare out more than men's, right? If anything, her waist-to-hip ratio is far too manly.
