Tried something a bit different recently with the ol' iOS Clip Studio Paint app, in that I experimented with a quicker, looser drawing approach based on random photoreference off my tablet's camera roll and from a Japanese pose-reference photo book:

Not the most aesthetically pleasing of sets, TBH, but what the heck. That White Queen cosplay photo had a really interesting pose, though I didn't sketch that image in any detail in part because my rendering approach works quite poorly on white outfits.

After filling out that set with poses from the aforementioned pose-ref photo book (which was all based on fantasy-milieu cosplayers), I cranked out another quick set entirely based on that material:

I've always had difficulty with drawing two-handed weapons in action, so I thought this would be a fine opportunity for some practice in that department, especially since I'm roughing out two fantasy series and actually drawing a third (well, in theory) that are all rife with such poses. Yay?

Anyhoo, going forward I'll likely mix in some quick, sketchy sets like this with occasional forays into slower, much more highly rendered, shading-intensive pieces, okay?

NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: No idea, TBH, but something should be coming up in the next M/W/F slot. Let's find out together, shall we?
