This one is for you, Eva!  I had no idea about this strange phenomenon, but Eva sent me the reference and I checked it out, adding it as a footnote to the story.  It has special meaning for me because my late brother was a donor, and I don't know who received his heart but I now find myself wondering whether the recipient might have picked up any of his many good qualities through “cellular memory”
