A Wife Found (Patreon)

Erin had a story in mind which I have reproduced at the foot of this one.  It is a most unlikely tale, or so it seems to me.  But I liked the idea of some traveller stepping into another life.  It seems to me that many such restless souls walk about the world looking for a life, and what happens if hers seems to be the one that is just right?  I suppose there are questions as to whether the truth is being told, but my patrons will know that unanswered questions are part of my style.
