Yeah this arcs pacing in the anime feels all over the place at times (the studio change halfway through probably didn’t help) still a very good time though, thanks for getting these out despite being sick ruff

Ya the ending was different than I thought as well, though I took it as the dragon slayers have a long way to go before. They can even think about taking on Acnologia, also they did actually make a time paradox. So future Lucy and everyone else did sadly die, luckily they were reunited in the after life. Again hope you get back to 100% soon, and thank you for giving us these episodes despite being sick.

just remember not only is there other dimension's but at least 3 time lines now the first is Rogues time line where Frosh dies and i beleave that leads to sting and rogue not helping with acnologia at first and acnologia destroying everything so rogue goes back to bring dragons from the past to beat him but of course that leads to the dragons from Lucy's time line so then that lucy goes back in time to stop that creating what we see in the main time line and since rogue is there from timeline one he can tell natsu. who kills Frosh but thats 2 arks from now you learn who that is but for now the main time line we follow is following the 1st timeline so Time is back on track for now the only difference is Natsu is armed with the Knowledge of who Kills Frosh

One detail I'm now thinking is that either Lucy from Rogue's timeline agreed bringing back the dragons, or Rogue stole her keys and made Yukino open the gate

imo they made a small mistake here and its also partly why it feels rushed to me (no spoilers ahead) but we learn a LOT about dragons later on and just like how powerful they really are we get a genuine scope and because they wanted to do it in a way where its like big reveals about them i feel like when they introduced them here they couldn't let them do much or give them TO much focus without needing to divulge stuff they wanted to save for later, because otherwise it would have just been tons of stretched scenes with the dragons to show them off while also trying to with hold information.

The Golden Grassfields Scene is often interpreted as Lucy arriving at the afterlife with the rest of the Fairy Tail Guild that passed away before her. So I always saw it as a bittersweet ending, and that was also my interpretation of why Lucy was crying at the end.
