Regarding Ruff’s comment about how One Piece is always more hype, it’s because Oda is a masterclass on the concept of tension escalation. Unlike shows like DBZ, not every arc just tries to up the stakes little by little compared to the arc before it. Instead, he’ll raise stakes, lower them, raise them, lower them, raise them high, lower them, it makes moments feel impactful.

By the way guys! I noticed on rewatch that the anime episode 958 i think, the one where the Rocks pirates/ emperor bounties were revealed, that episode spoiled who would defeat Kaido and Big Mom. The final seconds just before the ‘To Be Continued’ showed Law, Kid then Big mom and then it showed Kaido, Roger, Whitebeard, Shanks and Luffy. Law and kid would beat BM and Roger, Wb, Shanks and Luffy are the list of people who have defeated Kaido along with Rocks. I realised this after catching up and rewatching but damn, the anime spoils stuff.

Ruff I just wanna tell you this to be prepared, when caught up Oda has been taking one week breaks, so some chapters have been even a 2 week break and those weeks drag on forever it feels like lol. I am glad Oda takes them because he deserves it and it keeps him writing at his Top Level!!!!!!!

I started reading week to week in Wano and that is what made it my favorite arc. Experiencing the reading with the community made it so much more meaningful and fun for me

I know Ruff said he won't theorize and such until he's caught up but has he ever mentioned if he'll react to some of the most popular theory videos? I think that'd be a great watch if we could see him possibly get his mind blown by some crazy theories that we're already in the know on. Like was he ever aware of the whole ZKK agenda 😂

He had to have plenty of it planned and set to go but with details and new things he wants to add or bring to attention it really takes him longer to do things. He had 2 years planned for Wano and it was like 5 years long

When we say you overestimate Luffy no one is saying Luffy is not gonna win. But how many times was he beaten/defeated by Kaido before that happen, being miracle saved twice (Law's crue and gear 5th)? Can you remember any villain that gave Luffy that much trouble? No. More so, I think you were underestimating Kaido. Kaido HAS BEEN on that level. Lufyy has JUST scratched that level now.

Gg ruff I think Odas defs the type of author to have the philosophical points of a story fleshed out before you even start so it makes sense to me that's he's had heaps of time to plan certain arcs and know what he's working towards. Seems pretty close to the end now which means we're gonna get that jet fuel like end of anime content where all the crazy ideas get confirmed imo... Whats up with the moon in one piece, the devil fruit tree on elbaf, marijois origin story, void century characters who explain certain vibes of the whole world... What the previous joyboy did with his freedom and whether or not luffys gonna keep round tripping the world or have to sacrifice himself. Imma need take a vacation and go to the mountais when one piece ends lmao

"Luffy took down Kaido all on his own", yeah after Kaido fought the Nine Red Scabbards, the New Gen 5 and Yamato, having already taken significant damage before their last 1v1 fight started. Meanwhile Big Mom took basically no damage up to that point as the New Gen 5 focused most of their attacks on Kaido for the most part. Putting them all at 3 Bill is fair to me. The three Captains who took down 2 Yonko got a combined Bounty that matches or exceeds the combined Bounty of the 2 Yonko they beat
