I also prefer the dub but what I would do if I were you is compare both on episode 1 if you have the time and see which one YOU like better. I always do that for every series that has both personally, especially ones that are completed like Fairy Tail.

it’s good both sub and dub. Anyways, FT kinda did a Bleach where the anime was “finished” but there’s 1 more arc left from the manga. Not 100% sure but heard rumors it’ll get an anime adaptation in the near future.

Fairy Tail was my first anime ever so I am super hyped for this!! I like the sub much more than the dub especially for reactions but they are both great so im hyped either way. Also there is a filler list but the fillers are funny so I recommend watching them. Some of the filler arcs are anime canon so I dont recommend skipping those since they were supposed to be part of the original story

Fairy tail does a few single episode fillers between arcs that are usually just for fun. there's only two true filler arcs later on but they're decent

Hey Ruff, I don't usually comment but I am really glad you are watching Fairy Tail as FT is one of favorite shows of all time. I have personally watched FT a few times over and I feel like I can answer some of your questions. 1.) Regarding Sub or Dub I prefer the Sub over the Dub but many people say it's not bad. Personally I think Happy doesn't sound as good but that is maybe because I come from a Japanese background. 2.) When it comes to filler from my memory, filler isn't really a problem in fact I enjoyed watching 90% of them. I'm not to sure but I think there are two arcs in the future that are considered filler but I believe you should watch them. 3.) It is technically ongoing in the manga rn and it seems to be getting an anime adaptation for it in the near future. Reason for saying technically is because I heard different things like it's a "spinoff" but from what I read I enjoyed it.

Side notes: 1. As you may heard before FT likes you use the term "power of friendship" a lot which is true. But I have been able to prove that the use of "friendship" wasn't the reason or the only reason for winning the battle (for most of them).

Yeah as somebody who very much enjoyed Fairy Tail I gotta say don't let the hate bother you. It's not a perfect story, the author even says as much, but not everything has to be perfect to be enjoyable. I also really like the character designs and enjoyed both the Dub and the Sub.

I usually never watch dubbed series anymore. (Unless it's Ghost Stories. LOL.) So I don't know how the dub for FT is. Could be good like everybody here seemed to say. Or it could be like watching dubbed Naruto for Ruff. So my vote is on sub. But honestly thought, I'd be down for either one.

Strongly recommend skipping these filler episodes, the rest are at least worth a watch. Skip filler 70-75, 125-150, the rest are worth it. The reasons i say these aren't is because they mess with characterization with contradictions how they are.

I agree with AsterJ. I will take which ever one you want to do. Watch them both and see what you like. Fairy Tail was one of the first animes I watched when I was getting back into the genre. From here I found One Piece and these two remain to this day, my favorites. I watch most my anime in dub, but I find it fun to watch reactors watching in sub and see if there are any translation differences. As for the openings … I don’t think it really spoils anything, so I don’t care if you watch it.

Yes for Eden’s zero!! And there are some filler arcs and one off episodes. The filler arcs are pretty long it took smf a LONG time to get through them. They’re okay, but you won’t miss much if you skip them. The one off filler episodes are great though. There is one episode during a filler arc you HAVE to see though. 🕺and as far as sub or dub, i watched it in dub and its really good.

Even with all the problems, I love Fairy Tail. I binged it a few times over the years. It doesn't have that strong of a start, but I think its still a good series.

Watch sub! The first series is done and there are 2 movies. There is an ongoing manga that takes place after the first series ends. They are working on the anime of it now. It's called the 100 year quest.

The author of Fairy Tale is the same author of Edens Zero, he also wrote Rave Master. If you start with Rave Master and go through his different anime he re-uses his character designs over and over

Fairy Tail's dub is definitely one of the better ones, but the sub is still better. Also, FT did technically end but then the Manga started back up not long after and the anime should be coming back this year or next. Also, Fairy Tail's easily in my Top 5 favorite anime and I put it at the top for their fights. The battles are animated so well I think they do it best

I've heard Naruto Dub and Sub. The Dub is atrocious, it aged awfully. Since it's much newer, Fairy Tail is well polished and sounds great dubbed. A couple of gripes with the final arc's VA work but it's not that bad. You should check out some scene comparisons. I will always pick sub over dub mostly because it is hard for me to switch between the two ever. But will try to watch it either way. I do love this anime it has some hiccups here or there but it is what it is. I love it over all. Note the story has ended but there seem to be a spin off that basically takes place after the story here. So in other words it’s complete. With most if not all the questions answered.

To answer your question without spoilers. Fairy Tail is over, but there is a sequel made by a different author, that will be an anime in 2022 or 2023. The original Author is working on Edenz Zero!

Yo, this is a trip down memory lane. Fairy Tail is fantastic up until a certain point where I think the studio must've just been ordered to crank out episodes or something. The animation quality suffers quite a bit, even in the final season, which is the large reason I dropped the series. The lore and character dev. is top notch in this show. Happy to walk down this road with you again. I also vote sub. P.S. Tower Of Heaven is my favorite arc. :)

There is filler,but its a mixed bag some filler is really good,and some filler is dogshit,and in terms of filler arcs there's 3,only one of which is worth watching.

So fairy tail has a sequel manga that is illustrated by a different artist but still works closely with Mashima. Hiro Mashima is currently working on edens zero. And Edens Zero is a masterpiece so far!

Fairy tail is over but supposedly has the Fairy Tail: 100 year quest to be animated in this year or next I think.

Here's my opinion; watch any filler you want, don't worry about the negative nancies. I prefer dub and the dub is good to my opinion, but you can watch sub if you want. I honestly haven't seen or noticed any problems with the anime, probably just the negative people Nick picking. Just do what you like, if you enjoy the dub more then do dub, if you like fillers then watch the fillers.

It was my second anime after Naruto. Go for it! It's pretty good and chill and the power of friendship is what makes it great. Dub is really good though I've never given subbed a go. Up to you but yea, it's an anime to laugh and chill to without thinking about the plot a lot. Don't get me wrong it's still good as a plot but there were some seasons that didn't execute it well. All in all just enjoy the ride

https://www.animefillerlist.com/shows/fairy-tail Here's a list of all the filler Ruff! Most of the filler is in mixed episodes or one offs. But there are a few anime only arcs and at least two of them I think are actually pretty decent ones that you'd enjoy.

Everything you wanted to know: 1. Dub or Sub: Both are qually as good, though I personally prefer the Dub because of Todd Haberkorn and Colleen Clinkenbeard voicing Natsu and Erza. 2. Filler: Fairy Tail is technically 21% filler or something like that, but they do it in filler arcs and the arcs have an impact on the canon... so they're filler... but not filler at the same time. 99% of reactors also watch the filler, especially since the filler arcs are difficult to tell the difference from the canon. 3. So there are two Fairy Tail Stories; the main, and then a side story called "Hundred Year Quest Arc" which will be getting animated in about a year or so. But the main story has been adapted and it's 320 something episodes. Anything else you wanted to know Ruff let me know; consider me the resident Fairy Tail expert?

I AGREE with all the dub over sub love in this case, To be fair tho I only watched a couple of episodes in sub. After watching the first 2 episodes again I remembered a lot of what I liked,loved, and was disappointed in. There was a lot I wanted and expected from Fairy Tail when watching it, but Years Later I got that from Slime. Fairy Tail does offer a lot tho, It was a roller coaster of a ride for emotions in some arcs. It's a great anime and I look forward To your future Reactions. As for the Openings I don't think the first 1 spoils anything besides characters you'll meet.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen Fairy tail but from what I remember it is one of those where the first arc or two are ok and it only gets better the more you watch. As far as the sub/dub neither one is bad but I’m gonna say dub just cause that’s how I originally watched it and that’s what I’m used to.

1) Watch the first episodes on your own Dub and do whichever you think is best, it works well both sub and dub 2) As far as filler goes I watched the whole thing every episode and didn’t mind it but it wouldn’t hurt to just check and see if there are long periods of filler you would want to skip

I’ve rewatched fairy tail at least 3-4 times & it has 328 episodes & were all currently waiting for 100 yrs quest which is in the manga but we’re waiting for the anime to release & I can’t remember if there are any fillers but this anime is freakin amazing!!!!!!!

Oh shoot! Didn’t even see the first episodes where up! It didn’t show up in the feed for me for some reason lmao. All I saw was the usual stuff. Oh well, I’m here now. I can watch now! And yes, do dub please. I don’t really care either way but add a little spice and do a series dubbed.

Damn, i read, many want the dub. I can't stand dubs, generally... :( So i hope it stays with sub. Everyone else does dub. Why not being the one who does it different? Sure, i am just one guy. But i were so happy, when i saw that there are FT reactions now. After all, right now the only other thing here that interests me is One Piece. I just hope for a second show to watch along. And when it switches to dub, i gonna jump over board. Just can't enjoy anime with english voice acting. It just doesnt fit for me. For most its just one or the other choice, to raise the enjoyment. For me it is critically important. And yes, i watched some FT in english. Not my case.

IMHO fairy tail isn't something special untill the 5th season and then it's hype all the way to the finish but the OP's are gold the dub is pretty good from what I've heard so either way it's fine yeah there's medium amount of fillers I'm sure someone will post a specific episodes list but the anime is over and it covered the whole manga. there's a sequel manga that got an announcement of an anime but nothing specific yet. if you like fairy tail there's also Rave master which is the mangaka previous work that also recieved an anime adaptation of something like 50+ episodes and there's Eden zero which is his newer manga after fairy tail which also got an anime adaptation which currently run on netflix

Me personally. I like the dub better. I’m not sure wether that is because this was one of my first anime so I watched it in dub before I got used to watching things in sub. Either way you go is good.

Personally I prefer subbed and the poll you did ended up being way more people voting for sub, so I would like it to be sub going forward. As for filler, here are the episodes I could find. (Also, yes this series is mostly finished. There is a spin off thats going on right now, but the main story has ended and been completely animated.) I added my 2 cents next to them, feel free to ignore! I kept it spoiler free, I just mentioned a few characters you haven't met yet in name only to add some context. E9 E19 (I find this episode quite fun but it is just filler) E30 (technically is canon, but has a major filler vibe) E49 (basically filler but has an easter egg for future canon) E50 (very funny, but definitely filler) E70-72 (would recommend skipping, doesn't add anything and not particularly fun) E73 (super cute) E74/75 (recommend skipping) E125 (cute) E126 (feel like you would find this one hilarious) E127 (recommend skipping) E128 (start of anime canon) - E150 (end of anime canon) I would recommend asking around about whether to watch the anime canon. It's not my favorite, but it has some alright moments and I believe there are some mentions later in the anime to some of the stuff in this arc (not 100% sure tho). Second season: E202 (cute) E203 (would recommend if you like one of the background characters - Bisca) E204-E218 (anime canon arc, would recommend this one) E219 (very cute) E220 (recommend skipping unless you like the character Juvia) E221 (recommend skipping) E222 (recommend skipping) E223/224 (pretty cute) E225 (watch if you like Laxus) E226 (pure filler, recommend skipping) E268 (recommend skipping) The third season doesn't have any filler episodes
