1. Yes, I’m pretty sure mini-transponder snails are canon 2. I’m watching G8 for the first time and it’s actually better than I thought it would be LOL - really feels like canon OP (especially the jail scene with Usopp and the old guy)

Yep it’s been a while but we saw baby/mini transponder snails back in Alabasta (in the Mr. Prince scene, if you wanna go back and check) Also, the black transponder snails (the ones on their wrists) are actually a bit of a continuity error. Those are supposed to be for intercepting communications only, like a wiretap, not for making calls.

I love that the recording stored in Usopp's tone dial was the same one he was pranking Zoro with at the end of Skypiea. Little details like that make me happy.

As for the themes... Luffy's is trumpets for sure. Zoro's is trombone, Sanji's is French horn?, Nami's is claranet?, Usopp's is some synthesized sound... Chopper's might be flute, Robin's is saxophone.

My favorite Nico Robin Figure is the Miss All Sunday figure by Portrait Of Pirates. It's one hell of a beautiful figure (Still waiting for it to be delivered). It's on the Expensive side, but once you see it, you'll want to get one.

You really should watch the filler after Alabasta because that is some of the best filler in One Piece. Mainly the first five episodes. It gives more focus on each character and is my personal favorite. If you do do that, please give the dub another chance. I feel like One Piece has one of the better dubs out there. That first filler arc is a little weak so that might be a reason why you didn't like the dub.

dub one piece no matter how good it may be to other dubs still falls short in comparison to its japanese counterpart. like the sub puts way more emotion into their acting especially in this series.
