I went online and found a pretty good guide of the chronological order of all the one piece movies and which episodes they take place after. The only one that isnt listed on there is the newest movie that came out last year (movie 14) but that one takes place after episode 896. Whenever a movie comes out the creators of the anime tend to throw in a few filler episodes during canon arcs that lead up directly to the movies so you will know what the movies are going to be focused on. So its good to watch those episodes on your own time when you reach them before watching the movies. https://animemovieguide.com/tv-movie-guide/one-piece/ and as for the mapping thing thats something that happens very frequently during arcs in one piece so you will definitely see more of that in future arcs. the scene at the end with those new pirates is filler cuz the next 2 episodes are pure filler. Definitely think you should watch them on your own time tho. Episode 100 is canon. Episode 101 is mostly filler but the canon scene at the end of the episode is extremely important.

Stick to the list you found, the thing about One Piece is that they make the fillers part of the story so the mixed episodes are actually canon just with some extra things added to fill the episode, don't worry, the list you're using is a good guide.

Honestly One Piece Wiki lists exactly WHEN the movies take place but the commercial licensing for them is a bit funny. Movie 8 (which is a retelling of this arc with the newer artwork) came out first, then Funimation released Movies 10, 12 and all the post-(spoiler) ones up into the current one. The MIGHT also be releasing Movie 9(which retales Chopper's Arc but it also adds the later crew members which is definitely a huge spoiler). Honestly the only movies that are "safe" to watch are Movies 1-3 which corresponds to where you're at now but they are only out fansubbed. Movie 4 is good but should be watched AFTER this arc. Movie 5 is OOC Zoro bullcrap. Movie 6 is directed by the legendary Mamoru Hosoda (the original Digimon movies, Summer Wars, Boy and the Beast, Wolf Children) and most people regarded it as THE BEST One Piece movie before Strong World (Movie 10). While they are all non-canon Movies 6, 10, 12 and up are REALLY lauded by the One Piece fandom but the caveat is you shouldn't watch Movies 4 through 8 until after this arc and you can't touch Movies 9-11 until after Episode 381, 12 and up shouldn't be seen until WAY down the road and to say anything more would be revealing game changing spoilers.

The filler stuff in this episode is all the Ace scenes, plus the pirates at the end, everything else about crossing the desert is manga canon.
