"They've been opening every single episode with this I don't know what's that about." As One Piece arcs start to get more complex you literally need a map to tell WHERE the characters are and WHAT they are doing. Get used to this because all the major arcs use this to keep track of what's going on as the characters spread out.

I'm gonna be honest...Alabasta's filler episodes are NOT as invasive as the general fandom makes them out to be. You already say Daddy and Sanji's "rival" filler from Loguetown and it's on that level. They do make some callbacks to it at the end of the Alabasta arc so honestly you're better off watching them then avoiding them. It's kind of like the Dragon Ball Z Saiyan Saga scenario where I felt the filler actually contributed to Gohan's character development as opposed to the later Drag-On aspects of the series. IMHO, most of the anime-original stuff is very YMMV up through Water Seven. The character's REALLY make the show watchable even in it's lull periods. After Water Seven the One Piece filler becomes either "alternate stories" and "multi-episode movie promos" which are for the most part skippable.

The end of 101 isn't filler. The majority of the episode is Filler, but the last scene is Canon. 102 is all filler, but it has some nice poignant conversation between Zoro and Chopper. Actually that's the thing about One Piece filler in this arc. It might not have plot points directly related to the plot, but they paint a more fleshed out picture of the country of Alabasta and it's people and provides an avenue to give us some nice character moments, which put more weight/gravitas behind each character's actions later on.

the last scene of episode 101 is extremely important to the story so make sure you dont miss that part if you are planning on skipping anything. The last 5 min or so is the important part but everything before that in the episode is filler. I still recommend watching the filler episodes on your own time tho cuz they are good to watch

The reason it is mixed filler is because in the manga Ace actually leaves before they make landfall and meet the dugongs (spelled wrong) so Ace basically doesn’t travel wither the straw hats in this arc for as long.

As others has stated, 101 is very important so you should at least react to that. The rest are hit and miss. They aren't bad episodes but if you don't want to react to them they aren't the most important but 101 is.

As for the movies and TV Specials, I have a list I made as for where the best place to watch them is. Since Patreon doesn't let me make paragraphs in comments it would just look bad and long if I put it all here so I can message it to you if you want. As for now, you are already passed where you would watch Movies 1, 2, and 3 and also TV Special 1.

Don't read this if you don't want to know the name of the movies, but the name doesn't give anything away so I thought it would be fine. For the One Piece movies, most people only watch 4 main ones, Strong World, Film Z, Gold, and Stampede. Strong world is after episode 380 so it's a long time til then. Film Z isn't til after 574, Film Gold at 750, and stampede after 878. That's just for the more popular ones, I heard the other ones can be good, I just personally never watched them.

Pretty much all of this. Most of the 'filler' actually ties into the actual story and is used to expand on details Oda wanted to include in the manga but cut due to time constraints (Like most of the anime only stuff in Loguetown) or does tie into the themes and character development of the arc it's in (most of the Alabaster filler). Then of course you have Long Ring Long Land arc which......... They just fucked it up.

I heard Overlord Season 2 & 3. Confirmed * :))

All the movies are good. Stampede is the newest and I <3 it
