Yup. In lieu of finished pieces, here's another one of these! All of this is VERY old.

First image is a lot of odds & ends all chucked together for the purposes of displaying a lot of disparate starts. I chucked in a few alternates to the Hope series by the way. The skinnier one in the middle with the slight beer gut was from the start of March. It was supposed to be a St. Paddy's themed image until we all got swept up in a global pandemic that one time. Then I called an audible & decided to rip things from the headlines, as it were. Also because “staying in” was rife with potential weight gain scenarios. To the bottom right of that is her much further along in the year (wanna say October? but not sure), but I wasn't liking how it was turning out. So it was another redo a bit later in the process. I think that was the one that put me behind so I'd end up posting them AFTER the end of the month, like a dweeb.

After that are a bunch of one & done sketches I probably could have all put together, but meh. Some are just bland sketches that never went anywhere, others are more premise based sketches where the scenario's maybe solid, but the art never turned into anything further because I wasn't liking the result, but might try to re-explore later.

You might notice a girl sprouting horns? It was originally a post-Covid/Year of the Ox New Years sketch. Full disclosure, I'm not really into furry stuff honestly. Or transformations thereof. But I DO enjoy a girl thickening up. And I am swayed by peer pressure. And last January, a lot of ox & cow girls started showing up. So after her saying something to the extent of being happy to put 2020 behind her & get back to the gym as she pinches her chub (low key of course because she was celebrating in her jammies at home), she takes a swig of her champagne & well... things partially give way to "Year of the Ox." Feel like there was a kernel of an idea there, but the time passed very quickly & it was at something of a busy time where the window closed before I could get anywhere with it.

Speaking of things I missed the window on, I think I shared what I had started of the Brigitte/Tracer interaction from that one Overwatch 2 trailer. But I definitely wasn't alone when I started that one. And while everyone did the sensible thing of just allowing Brigitte's armor to expand with her curves, I chose nightmare mode where I tried to feasibly show her busting out of it & it all falling to pieces. Everyone doing the same piece coupled with the difficulty, AND slowly losing interest in the game all zapped my motivation on it, even though the Shyamalan-esque twist to mine was that Brigitte wasn't alone in "getting so big." Tracer's ass... yadda yadda yadda. More nod to the artist Tailblazer than any prior internet controversies. But speaking of controversies, fuck that company! I hadn't given them any money since that first round of "layoffs while record profits." But with everything else that came to light? Yeah I'm good never giving them my money.

The redhead is an old, cartoony piece I could never come up with a good scenario for. Really, I think my ONLY thought with this one, even while doing it was to draw curly haired girl for once. Beyond that it was mostly done on autopilot. And while I'm sure there are people who won't mind, it's weak to me. But a timelapse is included. Same goes for the one just after that. I feel like I got the "pose" pretty good to get across the idea of walking. And I might recycle in the future. But the current sketch is a little too cartoony for me & not doing it. Tried grabbing a timelapse of that but exported out flipped 90 degrees?

The one after that is a very vague idea for a comic. I liked it then & honestly, just kind of forgot about it. Now, seeing it again, it might be one I definitely go back to. Basically, helplessly round girl is at home in her little "nest" of pillows & things when suddenly she starts to panic, flapping her hands & cursing. Her caretaker pokes their head in, fearful she's experiencing another growth spurt. In reality, the remote is perilously out of reach as the streaming service has just paused her program to ask if she's  "Still Watching?" Get it? Commentary on those annoying messages.

The chubby girl in workout gear carrying bags of food was a pretty straightforward premise. Jogger rewards her exercise with a little treat since her path puts her by her favorite takeout places, & laments negative results without putting two & two together. Feel like it's still a good premise but I feel like I really ought to start from scratch on this one.

The one after that was another very on the nose, straightforward thing that I wouldn't be opposed to exploring later but need a fresh start. But basically a diner where the wait staff is way, way more interested in stuffing their own faces than serving the customers.

Wow!!! What a treasure chest of stuff! It’s really fun seeing behind the scenes to see your process + thoughts! A lot of these sketches are also super cute. I think my favorite is the top left blueberry girl who can just barely get around.

2021-12-06 15:45:53 Thank you! There’s something very fun about a woman stubbornly still attempting to teeter about even when she’s beyond the realm of should or could being able to do so. One false move, & her feet may no longer even touch the ground, leaving her stranded!
