State of the Patreon (3/19/21) (Patreon)

Dear Patrons:

Hope you’re well and the weather is warming. It was a pretty crazy winter in many parts of the world, which was probably to be expected given the crazy year that was 2020! (Of course, if you’re one of our patrons from the Southern Hemisphere, happy fall!)

Here at Mavrip, things are heating up after a few quiet weeks. Frankly, it’s been a bit frustrating. The more we grow our perverse multi-media weight-gain universe, the more behind-the-scenes stuff (such as proofing, programming, and correspondence with other artisans) is necessary. It’s not our favorite activity; however, if we intend to fulfill our promise of creating a haven for unique and subversive weight-gain material that’s second to none, it needs to be done.

Of course, I’m sure you’re more interested in experiencing the fruits than discussing the labor (and I don’t blame you). Fortunately, the seeds we planted weeks ago have begun to germinate!

Leading things off, we’re excited to announce an exclusive venture with a legend of the weight-gain community: Good Girl Grow!

GGG has been a fan of our work for some time (and we’re certainly fans of hers!) and is someone we’ve wanted to team with for a while. Although we’re exploring other opportunities to utilize GGG’s sizable beauty and talents, our immediate plans are as follows:

*GGG plans to incorporate some of our weight-gain fiction into “story time” videos that will be made available to patrons. We’re still working out the logistics (which stories, how best to deliver them to you, etc.), but the combination of our prose with GGG’s playful delivery and formerly fit but now fabulously flabby figure should make for videos that are both fun and titillating!

*GGG has also agreed to perform exclusive voice-over narrations of personalized passages that we will customize based on your feedback! There’s too much detail to get into here, but either Riptoryx or I will do a full post explaining the process ASAP.  You're going to love it!

In other narration news courtesy of Riptoryx (re: “Jean Therapy”): After dedicating some extra time and resources to finding a good tonal fit for all the characters, we've now assembled what we think is a pretty darn good rough draft covering about half of the narrated story. We anticipate receiving the raw narration files for the remaining half as soon as sometime this week. After that, we will need to finish the assembly, arrange for any remaining minor revisions with our narrator, and then polish the complete draft for its official release. Depending on when we get remaining raw narration and how much of "just the right stuff" is in it, we're cautiously optimistic all of that can happen before the end of the month.

To expand on Riptoryx’ words: Rather than having a lengthy story like “Jean Therapy” narrated straight through, which is what we did with “You’re Going to Get Fat,” we’re having Kim do multiple versions of each passage to ensure the tone and delivery is consistent with our vision and properly plays-up all the juicy weight-gain elements. It’s pricier and more time-consuming, but we expect it will be worth it in the end. (Kim seems to be having fun with it. Check-out the attached audio clip!)

Meanwhile, work on our two adventure games continues. I recently played-through mine in its unfinished state and, in my completely unbiased opinion, it’s pretty damn good! I can't wait for you to play it!  Unfortunately, there are still roads to nowhere that must first be properly (and literally) fleshed-out.
