Oni-Uma (Patreon)

Happy New Years everyone. Good luck in 2022. I hope you all get high, get laid, get rich, get hitched, or whatever your goal is. I know people have been saying that shit is crazy right now, but they've been saying that for thousands of years. in the Lotus Sutra (which I don't consider to be any sort of canon because it's ahistorical religious fantasy, but it's good literature), Buddha describes the world as being like a hose that is on fire. It has always been on fire, and it is always going to be on fire. We are born into the housefire, and if we stay, we also die in it. No one can put the fire out. Your only choices are to stay or leave.

Buddhists understand to 'leave' as attaining nirvana. That's escaping the cycle. You can't even count on death to be an escape, because what if there is an afterlife, and what if it is worse? There are mountains and mountains of Buddhist literature describing different forms of suffering in different hells. When I was a kid, I actually kinda loved that stuff. Some of my first drawings were of hell-monster torturing and devouring humans. I was a bit of an 'edgy' kid. I remember when Spawn came out in the 90s, and I loved how gross and edgy the style was. I kinda want to try this again. 

Anyways, I'm feeling really mellow right now. I don't really feel like drawing lewds at the moment, so I'm sorry if that's why you follow me. I'm drawing stuff like this right now. This is an oni (ogre) uma (pearl diver). The narwhals are there because their tusks remind me of oni horns. I'll get back to lewds soon. I've got a million ideas, and when I need commission money, that's where the money is, but expect some dumb stuff for a little while.
