It is intended to be somewhat traumatizing. These sorts of thankas were supposed to 'shock' you into enlightenment, I guess.

I worked on it on-and-off over a week. It actually felt very fast because I drew it without hesitation. This is one of those 'for myself' things, so I didn't care about getting anything right, and I just drew whatever I wanted to fill the space.
