Magic, Space-Nuns, or Barbarians? (Patreon)

I'm kinda slipping back into that mindset of "Man, my art sucks, it's so muddy and gross, and my patrons are only supporting me out of a strange incomprehensible irony" but I'm not bummed out or anything. I'm actually in a really good mood, I just can't help but look at my mountain of shit and think "Is this what I'm the king of?" Better than a lot of things, actually. I get to draw, I'll never spit on that, even if I'm not as good as I should be. 

I want to force myself into a less toxic and cynical head-space for a bit. I want to try and draw shit that's cool, not just gross. I'm willing to do cool-and-gross, but not just gross. I'm going to back to DBDB for a page or two, but I'm REALLY wondering if I should rethink a section of it. 

Anyways, these are my three favorite things right now. 

1) Planeswalkers, from Magic the Gathering. I've kinda lost interest in the game itself. They're really pumping out a lot of product lately, and I don't have the energy to keep up with it anymore. I still love the art they produce, the style they have, and some of the characters. Specifically Chandra, a pyromancer from an artsy steam-punk world. I also like Garruk, who is basically Conan the Barbarian, but with pets. I like characters that can travel between settings, and I do enjoy how the redesign the Planeswalkers for the Planes they walk to. 

2) Adepta Sororitas: The Sister of Battle, from 40k. I'm really vibing thise girls again. Hardcore, stern, strict, humorless dominatrices fully devoted to the Chad-god himself, the God Emperor. Short bob haircuts. Facial tattoos. Form-fitting armor. Religious passion. These girls check of a lot of my boxes. Some of them even carry whips, like Catwoman. I would draw  a lot of these. 

3) Barbarians. I love Conan the Barbarian more than any other property. More than LOTR. More than Warhammer. Almost more than the Bible! I think that's why I've never drawn Conan (for porn), but I draw him for myself sometimes. I actually have put this character on a pedestal, which I shouldn't. False gods. So, Conan, Red Sonja, stuff like that.
