Jinny Hex Poll (Patreon)

Oof. I'm not thrilled with how the Ladybug MD thing worked out. Looks super messy, and I fell into that trap of "Just fill the page with details and maybe it'll be fun to look at even if everything looks like muddy smeared crap." 

Luckily I'm working on a very simple pin-up commission, so there really isn't that much for me to mess up. The character is Jinny Hex, the great-great-granddaughter of the American adventurer Jonah Hex, and because he went on all sorts of time-travelling space adventures, she inherited his trunk of cool stuff. 

I love that backstory. It's very simple, but also has an infinite amount of potential mythos, since you can repurposed anything from the old Jonah Hex comics, and there is actually a lot. DC as always been printing a lot of pulp. I also just enjoy the energetic, peppy, outgoing, tomboy trope. 

My personal idea for the picture is to have another sexy cowgirl standing in the background. She'll be another DC girl, but in some sort of sexy cowgirl outfit, and it's as if they've just had a duel, and the other girl has lost. The laser-pistols only disintegrate clothes, so the other cowgirl is in an embarrassed-nude-female stance. I think I can accomplish this by showing the disintegrating clothes as the same color as the gun's energy. I am very confident that I won't mess it up as long as I keep the overall composition and design pretty simple. Just two sexy girls in cowgirl swag.
