We also had to take the time to kick/beat most of the ice and snow off of them before being able to return them. Strangely enough they were hoisted up on a snowpile, which would reasonably take more effort to do than just returning them.

As someone who had to go and collect those carts once upon a time, thank you. Also, "at least they had each other" is so adorable. ♥️

I have yelled at more people than I can remember over the years for doing this. Especially since 99.9% of stores have cart corrals scattered through the parking lot so you don't have to return them to the store itself. What really gets me is when someone abandons them right behind someone else's car.
