One single pancake may cool down pretty fast, but here we're talking about a whole stack of them. Since pancakes aren't very heatconductive due to their foamy structure, you might look at a stack of pancakes like a nuclear reactor: the core heat keeps up for... well, onepointfive hours might be safe.
