I finally got around to making the fixes I wanted to make to this video. I also decided to make it into one large video. Took me a while because I wanted to stop feeling frustrated with it. Still has some things that annoy me, but it's a lot better. (Not charged, obviously. And one more actual video for this month is on the way.)

A mango seed never grew into a fig tree, therefore god exists

OK. So this is am old video by now and this question is probably no longer on your mind but... I was watching this on a train ride and realised how he gets the answer at 22:25 that you thought was weird maths... And as with his 1:12 notation, it's an error of what he says not matching the maths he shows. The odds of drawing marbles 1 to 12 in order are (1/12)^12, as you say, ONLY if he replaces the ball after each draw... Which he implies it is when he calculates 2 balls in a row as 1/12 x 1/12. BUT, if you don't replace the ball then odds of first ball being right is 1/12, second ball is 1/11, 3rd is 1/10 etc. Which is 12 factorial, which is about 479,000,000. So this was another 2 fuck ups (I think) : one with a typo of putting 379... instead of 479... and the other by describing and showing an example where the balls are replaced, yet using maths associated with balls not being replaced.

As I say, very late to post, but oh well.

It's always interesting to me how Muslim apologetics somehow manages to be even worse than Christian apologetics. You can tell that muslims live in a world where questioning the religion at all will get you killed, because their apologetics are beyond nonsensical. They're so intellectually stunted and brainwashed they've no concept of what it even is to not believe. They have so little contact with the concept of a god not existing that even in their apologetics "atheist" is someone who believes god exists and the quaran is the word of god. Typical muslim apologetics "I said mr. Atheist, the Quaran is the divine word of god isn't it? And the atheist says yes. So mr atheist, you should be a muslim right? And then the atheist converted right there because they couldn't argue with that logic."

Oh dear. Religion tells us nothing about how the universe works. It tells us a lot about how our minds work. Or don’t work.
