Status update (Patreon)

TL;DR - June was a wash, July should be back to normal. There will be no character poll in July.

An update on the computer situation. Turns out our ill-fated artist didn't keep the original packaging for his tower. As he set out to ship it on Friday he came to this realization, and will have to wait until at least next Thursday for a suitable box to arrive. The company is estimating a 2-4 week turnaround time, so it will be probably another month before that situation is fully resolved. Luckily he as procured a replacement laptop, on which he made the WIPs shared today.

There has been another issue we've neglected to tell you about until now. As some of you know, our aforementioned artist is a contractor by day job, a type of employment that is highly volatile and notoriously temporary. On April 30th he was informed that the contract with his current client company would not be renewed, and he would be let go after almost three years with them.

In May the agency that he directly works for put him back into the marketing process, and it was pretty leisurely at first. We haven't checked the numbers but we're pretty sure he got more art done in May than normal. That's probably why we never got around to mentioning it until now, it didn't seem like it was going to impact anything FT related yet. June got worse, with more time being spent in interviews and his tower dying.

Our other artist has been busy as well, having accepted some IRL work that is nearing its due date. That's why we've been quite recently. As far as FT goes June was pretty much a wash.

But now there is some good news: he has obtained his next contract, so things will go back to a sort of normal. The tower is still out of commission, and there is a chance the new job will require him to relocate at some point in the future. But for the time being things should be getting back to normal starting in July.
