Guess that's that.

Technically the poll is still running but I think I'm gonna call it there. The first thing to do with this is iron out the scope of this new series. And then well, build the final game itself.

So that means knowing what's important to see. Moving, talking/interacting and fighting are givens.  I'm thinking that shops, 'items' (hookshot? bow? we'll probably do one or two main examples). Persistance, transitions, saving are going to be our big things.

Things I think we'll leave out include complex collision/depth interactions like bridges & cliffs, complex NPC scripting and so on.

Is there anything in particular you're looking forward to learning about? Something you think I shouldn't leave out? Let me know below and we can talk about the ifs and whys.

Work on this starts now, we might stream some of the work on the tutorial itself as it's going to take a while before videos start emerging on it. I'm excited though this could end up very cool.

I never got a chance to play that one but if its basically introducing a more solid platforming experince than River City Ransom with an overhead view then yes very yes.. ive wanted to know how to do 3 dimensional platforming wiht an overhead view for quite some time.
