Weekly Updates: October Week 2 (Patreon)

Hello again super heroes! I've been working on a video dealing with game menus as requested by a majority on the voting spreadsheet ( https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FpgkdQa56aPFIHUjIDevayXb8ppazQ8qTLnuXvlTl1I/edit#gid=0 ). There's a lot of approaches to this sort of stuff but I'll be detailing essentially how it was done in Another Perspective. It's sort of basic but I'm trying to write the code to be as flexible as possible. It's interesting now I'm starting to get to a point where I want to put more time into the tutorials I do in order to make them useful (whereas before with stuff like even the in depth platformer, I was largely just drawing from personal experience with a few minor cleanliness tweaks here and there) I want to then follow this up by the end of the week with a non-tutorial video talking about some of the level design in Another Perspective. So that's what you can expect by the end of this week! One particular Patron has been super generous since my last update and has pushed my total back over the 500 mark! As I've said before, while I'm kind of hovering around this number I will be pushing to make 2 videos a week happen regardless. The reason it hasn't been happening the last few weeks is just down to my own busy-ness and/or poor planning as I've previously explained. Getting back on track now though! I just want to take a moment though to explain that for those super awesome people pledging rather high amounts (I have no idea how to thank you guys enough, I'm humbled that you value my work so highly) that I don't want you to over pledge or feel you need to pledge larger amounts for any reason. It works best for me that I recieve pledges consistently, rather than recieving shorter term large bursts. Don't be afraid to lower your pledge if you feel you need to for any reason. I may also start doing some livestreaming via twitch again over the next couple of weeks, while I usually use this for gaming content, since taking part in Ludum Dare (which I streamed) i've started to think about what other dev related streams could be interesting.
