Elliot's Gracelyn form stretching before a jog.

I THINK this is proper stretching before a jog, or at least close to it. I sketched a few "what is this even" poses before thinking "I should probably google this."

Huh. Yeah, ElliotGraceLyn does have runner's legs. Nice!

Very cute! And with Elliot's full acceptance of his female side, I can totally see her doing this in canon.

Connie Edogawa

gorgeous. Elliot needs to use this form more often.

I appreciate pinups in which the characters are behaving innocently.

Since you kind of asked.... The notion of stretching before running is generally considered "bad advice" by most. What you drew, a Quad Stretch, is a 'static stretch' (static as in you statically hold a pose) that is better used after a run. Pre-run warm ups should be 'dynamic' stretchs, which are things like skipping, jumping, 'butt-kicks' (dynamic because you move a lot and try to 'warm up' the muscles). Static stretches are not bad for you, per say, but it has been found they increase the likelihood of injury when done before exercise as you're lengthening and weakening the muscle fibers. When done after exercise, they help relax tense, tired muscles and improve flexibility. Think about warm taffy vs. cold taffy. Warm taffy stretchs nicely, cold taffy will snap. Pretty much that. Also, on a standing Quad stretch, one should try to push their hips forward, not lean. Leaning forward will lessen the stretch, driving your hips forward will deepen it, and unless you're REALLY tense and inflexible (which i really doubt elliot is, being athletic and a martial artist), she should be able to get her heel all the way to her butt. If you want to try the pose yourself, but lack balance, lay on your side. You should feel the stretch in your front thigh. Pain in the knee is bad. Sorry if it sounds overly critical... my intent is to be helpful. I saw a rare opportunity to chime in on something :). Overall, very cute, and if you hadn't said "I THINK this is proper" I would have never thought to analyze it >.> .

It's sound advice for anyone starting with exercises actually. As for my handball team, we do stretch before training and matches. But that before is actually a between. In between the actual training/match and the warm up session before that (which will usually be about twenty to thirty minutes).
