The goose is loose!

At egscomics

Commentary

I planned this at the same time I planned the previous comic, so the reality is that this isn't based on anyone clamoring for a goose form.

I mean, maybe that happened somewhere with some people? I mostly saw discussions about how geese and rabbits work after the previous comic.

New Game Plus

New game plus modes are when games let your replay them from the beginning, but with levels and/or gear and such from a previous playthrough. Unless they come with difficulty adjustments (I assume some do), they're going to be easier than the first time by a large margin anyway, hence Tedd saying "maybe new game plus".

Is that "Goose form! Goose form! Goose form!" or "Goose goose goose form! Form! Form!"?

McZed

Hey, HEY. None of that Sasa lele stuff here.

McZed

It is a wonderful day in the world of The Wizard Sarah, and you are a terrible goose.

IvyReed

Heh heh, I am amused at the thought of Tedd reluctantly bending to our whims.

The Goose. Enemy of Wal Footrots everywhere.

Every New Game Plus mode I've seen does have radical difficulty adjustments. Sometimes they're not enough for someone who did grinding in their first run through, and other times they are enough to present more challenge even at the level cap. And then there's the one new game plus I've played where, you have an option of starting out as level 1 characters. (Basically, the game has six characters. You select three for each play through. So select the other half, and you get a mode where the starting area monsters do enough damage that it would one-shot most of the characters at level 10. Also, if you only have the starting weapons, you need to hit it a lot to kill it. But at least, once you do, your character is that level 10 I mentioned, because that's how much XP they're worth. To be clear, I'm not good enough to pull that one off, especially since there's a kill timer for the boss fights you have to beat.)
