That's an ogre, I assure you.

Commentary

Susan has bigger fish to fry than Tedd's indulgent video game nonsense.

FOR NOW.

(I'm honestly not sure if that's foreshadowing. We'll find out together.)

I hadn't planned to do a direct follow-up to the previous comic, but I saw an opinion that got me thinking about whether I would want a character I created getting transformed like that, and my answer was no. I see a difference in it happening to a character I happen to be controlling, and a character I might consider as representing me.

I also found myself without room to draw the scenario Tedd was talking about in the previous comic, and I wanted to. It's not even close to what I pictured (I imagined a 2D side scroller with cute cartoon graphics), but here we are.

I know the "ogre" doesn't look like how most would envision an ogre, but the more traditional ogres I imagined just seemed like large, oddly proportioned humans to me, and I wanted to draw something else, darn it.

Anyway, if a criticism you want to launch at me is "that's not an ogre", I'd also say that's fair.

No reason why an ogre has to look like it came from the latest Monster Manual.

Thisguy

I like my bunny girls to be warrior bunnies. Beautiful and deadly. Hopping around the battlefield, kicking ass. I believe there are several anime’s with such bunnies.

Thisguy

It’s also possible that I’ve watched too much Monty Python to expect rabbits to be anything other than killers.

With this page, it kinda makes me wish we got a bunny girl image for the girls of the cast this year

I think that ogres are enough "generic fantasy grunts" that they could be all kinds of things depending on the setting. I mean, WoW's ogres have their own history and lore and reason for being like they are, so this game of Tedd's could have its own ogres too.

I am thinking specifically of that one DaiCon opening ceremonies anime. (That was supposed to be a reply to ThisGuy. Argh.)

A Red Mage Named Blue

I think, as long as that's not the only way to pacify enemies without hurting them it's fine

Merle Blue

That is a nice looking ogre. Neat monster design!

Hmm... If it was thematically appropriate that could be fun. I'd play the hell out of a game where you could transform your foes into various cute bunny girls or cat girls or whatever. Or into bunny boys and cat boys... no need to be sexest or what have you here. I'd not be a fan of it in a game where it wouldn't fit the intended atmosphere of the game though, not with them just going dumb and harmless. A varient of this with bunny girl ogre launching a leaping kick attack as a result could work. Or a cat girl raking you with her claws before storming off to wash and recover her dignity 😸 Though in general I'm with Susan and her meh for where I'd rate this on things I care about, so far as it not matching the mood of the game it exists in.

Chronos Cat

I've seen so many different interpretations of ogres, trolls, and goblins that so long as they fit the theme of the setting, have obvious differences from real-life humans, and are not conventionally attractive, I don't have any complaints.

Having shared my house with a bunny (a girl bunny in fact) I must tell you that they ARE killers! A whole three pounds of black fur and aggressive domination. One day, while she was out roaming the room a neighbors terrier came in, went for the bunny, and rapidly retreated with bleeding nose. Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT mess with bunny girls or girl bunnies. Whichever you meet, you're in for an ass kicking!

Oh, heck yes. https://youtu.be/-840keiiFDE?t=165 (bunny girl kicks in about 2:45, which is where the URL is set.)

Not exactly how I imagined "bunny girl" initially, but... I'm not against it.

Layers: Strata? Hens laying eggs? Maybe missing a letter: Ogre need lawyers? Ogres need players? I am completely lost over here. Please enlighten me. Plus 3 likes above, no explanation. Clearly I am being trolled. Or, y'know, ogred.
