Suddenly Boss Fight!

EDIT - Minor shading correction

Commentary

What do you mean I don't have a team for moments like in anime in which it seems like the animation has suddenly leveled up ten-fold?

WELP, time to go with a minimalist approach with judicious sound effect nonsense!

Anyway, Grace is a boss fight.

This is what happens when you don't let her be the protagonist in a video game parody.

So like with how overleveled Susan is, my wild guess is that the bullets will barely tickle?

There IS a term for those times that the animation quality levels up, actually! "Sakuga"

Story wise, I'm a bit lost here with #179 and I was hoping this one would answer that question but it doesn't... Why is Grace even shooting pistols in the first place? I'm not even sure what the quest is. Normal sequence I'm used to is receive a quest "talk to Doe over there". Fine, you go see Doe who at first behaves like Basil Exposition and tells you why you're talking to them and what you're supposed to do next, and might end with a reveal/character change explaining it will be a boss fight, and then the shooting starts. Kinda jumping the gun and missing the middle part here.

I assumed that was a typo. How does the sentence make any sense with the word "team" there?

coredumperror

Ohhh, now I get it. It makes a lot more sense in the context of the full commentary, too.

Grace is the Hero of Range/Marksmanship/Guns, and she's a pirate queen.

Thanks, you have summarized the last 3 trips without replying to my question -- why did she shoot first, and for what reason.

Daryl Sawyer

I don't know her specific reasoning, but when Grace plays video games, she turns from gentle to murderous. Grace is probably just going for the PVP kill just for the lols.

James C

Because her character has an evil alignment. In game terms, this usually translates as 'random mindless violence'
