We're not quite at the point at which EGS pretends to be a fashion reality show, but someday! Someday.

Commentary

I had considered putting Catalina and Rhoda in unusual outfits, too, for no other reason than "well, people might be disappointed if they don't get unusual outfits!"

Then I remembered bending the narrative out of fear of disappointing hypothetical reader opinions rarely goes well, and that there are actual narrative reasons for Diane and Lucy to be dressed unusually for themselves, and equally valid reasons for Rhoda and Catalina to specifically not be dressed unusually.

That said, I now feel obligated to give Rhoda and Catalina unusual outfits at some point.
