Bruh, what do you mean how she knows him? They fought at the hospital. Unless, you didn't recognise Mari in her moe form with her boyfriend lol. Just in case you didn't know by now, Mari was dating Erika's 2nd brother (nine schools competition showed this). The eldest brother's the one who's been contacting Kyoko Fujibayashi (electron sorceress).

I know they fought at the hospital lol. I was asking that because she knew about him and she said his name before they fought so I was wondering how she knew who he was before actually meeting him. I thought that he and his organization were pretty secretive and only known by other high level magicians/the government. So the fact that a third-year knew who he was is weird to me.

it's good to remember that calling anyone from first high just "high schooler" is kinda wrong as pretty much no one in that school could be considered civilian. So basicly everyone at the school should have some level of information that is not publicly available and saying that they should not know something just because they are high schoolers is not very good statement here. This was pointed out in one of the first episodes where the first years were joking about it when they pretty much talked really casually about magic that could be considered as military secret

I don't see any of the students as regular civilians and in the video I even bring up the fact that the reason why they are on guard is probably because the people organizing the event believe that they are capable enough to protect the grounds if anything were to happen. Me using "high schoolers" was more trying to emphasize their young age and trying to compare how drastically different their world is from ours and how students in their world are seen as mature enough to stand guard and protect such an important event against foreign crime organizations. Also I never said that they shouldn't know about Gonghu just because they are highschoolers. I don't think that they should know about people like Lu Gonghu because I'd assume that that information would be kept between high ranking magicians/the government. Just like how Tatsuya has so much information on things that a lot of other students his age don't know. Tatsuya knows that stuff because he's been involved with the government for a long time and a lot of that info that he's gathered isn't available for just anyone to access. Lu Gonghu seems like a very dangerous and high-level magician that's involved with a very powerful crime organization and I doubt that the government would share that information with anyone other than government officials or high-ranking magicians. So that is why I don't think that most students from these schools would even know about who he is unless they were told specifically by someone that they know who is in the government like Mari.

As for Lu, Mari didnt know him, but just a few days before she was at hospital with her boyfriend (Illusion Blade Chiba Naotsugu, Erika's brother) and he knows him as he is part of the nationsl defense force
