Progress update - v0.3 (Patreon)

Don't cancel me plsss, it's just a joke
Hello everyone, long time no see!
I can't show you a simple progress bar as there are many factors that I don't know how to measure accurately and have yet to figure out, but this may give you an idea of how much work has been done and how much remains to be done.
In case you don't fully understand what the different things mean:
- When I refer to the environment, I'm talking about the 3d model I use for the backgrounds, in case you didn't know I'm modeling them myself instead of using Koikatsu/photos, it takes a lot of work, but it's worth it and reduces work in the future. As they are very big scenes, the percentage of completion refers to the part of the scene that I need to finish, it doesn't mean that the whole 3d model is done.
- The HUD is the information and menus that you see in the encounter system, the difficult part was the implementation and I already did it, if it is not 100% is because there are small things missing, it is not difficult to complete the other ones.
- The encounter sprite is the sprite of the character more focused to work with the HUD, they are almost finished, some expressions need to be added.
- The navigation is the same as most games have, the clicking to move around places. It's nothing that impressive right now, I need to have the full 3d modeled environment to implement it well.
About the scenes specifically:
- For the Rea scene, it's practically all done, it's kind of short in relation to the time it took me to do it, but I used it to experiment the things I use in the next scenes.
- As for Lena's scenes, she has 2 since one happens if she is your girlfriend and the other not. These scenes happen at the institute which I still need to tweak a bit for the second scene.
- Emily's scene is very short, it uses the same environment as Lena's scene. The navigation for these scenes still depends on how I manage time so it's not locked for this update. One problem may be the encounter sprite, I already had it done from the previous update, but I don't know if the perspective will look weird with the HUD.
- Laura's scene was very dependent on the environment, that complicated my work a little bit, implementing navigation in this scene for this update is impossible, since it is outdoors I would need to have the background completely modeled and there is no chance that I will finish it now.
- The final scene is a bit complicated, I could trim it a bit, but it's important to get it right, it uses environments like the orphanage, the park and the site of the accident, when I advance more with the rest I'll see how I can handle it. If I cut some things I can do it easier, but it's also the first glimpse you'll see of the real plot of the story, so I don't want it to lose impact.
Some problems...
- I don't know if I mentioned it here, but my motherboard died and I had to replace it along with the processor with old and less powerful parts. This causes me problems to render big scenes (apart from reducing the overall quality). For now I've managed with the renders, but After Effects crashed a couple of times when I started it, so I doubt I'll add animations for this update.
- My final project for uni is due at the end of the month along with some final exams, although I'm working on the game now, I might be less available at the end of the month, sorry about that.
That's all for now, I didn't want to end on a sour note, the game is changing for the better, now it's all very new and I'm just implementing things, the next update will probably have more meat since I don't have to create everything from scratch. I can't give an exact date for v0.3, I don't know how much free time I'll have at the end of the month.
Thanks for your patience. Sincerely, MateDolce
