Sebastian's Summer Video + New Logo! (Patreon)

Hi!

We prepared a new video and it's about Sebastian's summer! Check the above video or click this Youtube link. Don't hesitate to share it, it's public!

Some of the features we are adding:

• In Paralives, there will be a zipline item that you can place between a point A and a point B. Your Para can then use it for transportation or just for fun.
• Another new feature we are adding is the possibility of jumping into a pool from a high place like a flat roof. It's a fun thing do to for Parafolks who are not afraid of heights and likes a little thrill!
• Do you remove your shoes when you are at home? We do! So there will be an option to set a house rule for that and you can toggle it for each lot.
• I've always loved secret passages and knew we had to have them in Paralives. We are adding the secret bookcase. What could Sebastian be hiding behind it?

Please note that Sebastian is missing some improvements that we made to the character model in this video because they were not integrated yet (feet and hands are too small, etc). 

Alice worked hard on these animations and we're really happy with the result! Looking forward to showing more stuff like that.

New Logo

Many months ago, in February 2020, we made a Patreon post to share that we were working on a new logo. So much has happened since then and we were finally able to come up with our final design. It was not an easy task so here's a little breakdown of what we tried and how we ended up with this new logo! Please don't share this outside of Patreon :)

Our previous one was created in October 2019. It was made quickly because we needed a logo for the Steam page of the game. It was meant to be temporary since it was a bit simple and not so clean.

Here are the 2 logos that Léa and I made and shared in the February 2020 Patreon post. Many of you liked them but the comments made us realize that they were both too detailed and it was not easy to distinguish the shapes when the logos were small or seen from afar.

Then, I made these simple concepts. The left one is mixing a house icon and a little character icon. The right one is two people touching hands to symbolize love, friendships, family, life, emotions.

We also hired designers to create some logo concepts. We really liked them but we were not sure they fit the game as well as we wanted.

Finally, Anna came up with a new concept. It's simple, easy to read even when it's small, we can recolor it and it fits the mood of the game. Also we're pretty excited about animating the logo for the splash screen of the game. Maybe a character can walk into the house, we can add birds, the letters can slide in, etc.
