--Merry named the canon Going Merry himself; Luffy only named it in the Live Action because Merry got killed. --In Japanese, the ships' rarely translated nicknames are "Merry-Go" and "Sunny-Go." --The manga included detailed blueprints of both ships. There's parts of Sunny you won't see unless you watch fillers. But it's 56 meters tall and 39 meters long.
