As much as I'm happy for them, I can't help but feel like something is going to go horribly wrong. In the worst case scenario, either: 1.) Mom is going to ruin the moment. 2.) Clinton is going to ruin the moment. 3.) The concept of Romantic Orientation Vs. Sexual Orientation making a surprise appearance and ruining the moment (though leaving the door open to discussing a topic that doesn't necessarily come up too often and could be interesting to explore). But then again, everything could go fine.

Oh, there will be lots of butthurt Homophobes complaining, but I take no joy in reading their crap. Hopefully most of them have moved on to webcomics that are more fitting to their tastes by now. I mean, QC has never been shy about it's strong support and depiction of LGBTQ+ characters and storylines. So most of the negativity that we will see will mostly be trolls.

I think they were only made aware by Elliot's description. I don't think they had a vested interest beforehand. I don't think that it's really being implied. Yay can be vicious but I don't think they're malevolent or even willing to interfere on that level unless approached. Especially after trying to integrate themselves into this group more.
