Michael Boettger

So she'll be giving Union Robotics and May a cut. Cause she's the best kid around.

Ehren Kluge

Loving that Sam's lightbulb is an LED bulb!

Everett Bradshaw

Second frame misspelling:...didn't mean anything but it; but should be by.

Forgettable

Panel 2 says "but it" and I think you meant "by it"

Ted Van Roekel

Oh Sam, you wonderful person.

Mitchell Sealy

If a third of Sam's spray income is enough to replace a full time minimum wage job, she really is doing pretty well for herself.

fish

I'm really loving this storyline, Sam is a really good kid

Andrew

I'm on the edge of my seat here hoping May will soon find out what Beeps does for her main job. *nervous twitching*

Anonymous

Sam is great, and I'm not knocking her, but I gotta say... it's easier to solve problems when you don't really need the money.

Adam Abbott

I think it's more that May is making herself an indentured servant for the rest of Sam's life.

Sam and May discover pyramid schemes

[clutches Sam to my chest] I LOVE HER SO MUCH SHES SO GOOOOOOD

I’m also extremely proud of Faye. It was fun to see bitchy Faye once again, but I’m so glad she’s grown emotionally!

Michael Boettger

May is getting repairs at a discount. Roko and Beeps are working to get her an upgrade body. She gets Marbear hugs. She's made a new friend in Sam. Sven and Yay can be dimly seen in the background. Things may be looking up for our horrible goblin.

Anonymous

I'm calling it right now: Sam joins Hanners for some contrived reason, becomes some respectable level of Benevolent Corporate Overlord Of Art Or Something, and May is STILL her assistant, but now she actually has means.

Kerin Schiesser

Sorry - I can't help it - I used to work as an Editor. In the SECOND panel, you've used the word "but" when it seems pretty clear you meant the word "by." The sentence as written says "Yeah, I know you didn't mean anything BUT it," (caps mine), when I'm pretty sure you meant "Yeah, I know you didn't mean anything BY it." Just hoping to help one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE WEB COMIC" :D

Marc Pengryffyn

Another benefit of Patreon is getting to be a copy editor for free! We love it, and compete for the privilege.

Vilinda

She also has a home to go back to with a roommate who truly does care for her well being and safety.

drone r0m-3

I like how Sam's "idea bulb" is an energy efficient one.

Captain Button

Did anyone else get the Patreon notification email for this three times? I was wondering if Jeph deleted and reposted or something.

Grant Swire

Yes can confirm my email just got burst fired with updates, was actually rather excited thought I was getting three new comics. Oh well maybe next glitch.

Bagge

Smart and environmentally aware. That's our Sam.

Bagge

Working with chasing out teens to working FOR a teen. Still counts as a step up.

ysth

The gray walls are really getting me down. Can they get a white base and some Bubbles-artwork?

Bagge

I love how within minutes of May being nice to Sam she got a new job. Maybe she should try it more often. also, the dancing-on-the-sidewalk-with-a-billboard-thing is ON!

ysth

Is Sam's lightbulb an LED?

BobC

Just when I was worrying about the AI Singlularity, it now seems Sam will rule them all. I suppose I'll just have to be OK with that...

Panel six: where are Sam's glasses?

Peter Jensen

They're safety glasses, for when she was working with the grinder. If they're the cheap kind, they're uncomfortable enough that you don't keep them on unless strictly necessary.

Uniquitous

Damn, kid. Shrewd!

Anonymous

Or, in my case, you just don't use em and hope your eyeglasses are as impact- and shatter- resistant as the optician lady promised...

Anonymous

Although I do have a full face shield I use when doing really gnarly cutting or grinding. I'm not totes stupid. :-P

Anonymous

Should panel 2 say “anything by it” ?

VGreenGoblinV

Hell, give her a year and she's gonna be running the damn shop. XD

Comics Ladybird

Well… I’m not sure you should accept being paid based on someone else’s commission, May (plus, I think Sam may want to book fewer customers, so as to avoid standing up one when unexpected internship activities come up).

Anonymous

Socially responsible business operation for Sam, and quite literally a better job for May, who might well end up making more money this way...

SpookyPenguin

An elegant solution based on inclusion not exploitation.

Shawn K. Younkin

No more scar on Faye's chest? Or has it been gone for a while?

Captain Button

They healed it up when they took out all the cyborg missles from robo-prison: https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=131

J.E. Melton

I love the LED light bulb. :)

Joseph Bonnar

While I love the Pratchett reference in your link, I don't see the connection.

Michael Boettger

We've probably all noticed that characters seem to go away for a good while and reappear. My guess is this allows Jeph to develop more complex storylines for them. And then we see major development in the character.

Anonymous

Actually, May can handle that for her, making things go more smoothly. Despite being May, I'm assuming she can't forget things if she sets it in her memory not to.

Anonymous

Jeph forgets it from time to time. Or maybe that shirt rides just high enough to conceal it.

Anonymous

Meaning Sven might come to the shop looking for May. Now THAT will be… interesting. And no, I am not shipping for some sort of weird Bubbles-May-Sven-Faye 4X (even if it does rhyme pleasingly). I AM, however, putting the image into all of your heads so that it will perhaps depart mine. Also, I want to have considered it before May does.

Christy Universe

Does May working as an assistant for somebody for the express purpose of paying off a debt they owe to them technically count as an indenture?
