A New computer... at last! (Patreon)

Sorry for going MIA but my new Mac mini arrived and I have been busy setting it up!

A lot of you have been asking for me to do streams and I just couldn’t with my aging MacBook Pro which could barely run my drawing software especially since I upgraded my drawing tablet earlier this year to a 4K display. I’m very careful how I invest your support into my comic drawing so I held out as long as I could.

For those wondering... YES. The new Apple M1 chip is all it’s cracked up to be, even if it’s the lowest end model. It is blazing fast. Usually you’ll see 15%-20% speed increases but things are moving 400%-500% faster. Everything from drawing, to applying filters to saving to disk. Considering it is operating at faster then anything Intel can make for the next 4 years, it is a great investment dispute the extra cost and Apple-pain. (Intel just announced they cracked 14nm and this is a 5nm chip).

I will do public streams of SFW pages and illustrations on Twitch and set up a private stream for $10+ supporters.

Sorry, no cam (ever) or audio (just yet ) as I want to keep anonymous but, I’ll see what I can do in the future now that I have all of this extra processing power. Another apology since I draw at 6am PST so some streams are going to be early morning. I’ll try and see if I can schedule some 4-5pm streams which will be a more convenient time for most. Maybe I can do a stream on Discord however I think it has a 10 people Max.

As you know I’ve been goofing around with animations and I think I may be able to give that a try again. Is that something that interests people? Maybe a game? I think a story based game may jive with everything we love here as it is just like a comic book where I come up with stories and drawings but more interactive.
