Hi everyone! Its been a busy month of November and it is only getting busier! I just got three big jobs coming in however although will take weeks to complete, I hired someone to do the time consuming tasks... which frees me up to draw!
As I mentioned before, I am going to dedicate three full weeks every month to making comics and the balance of the month for commissions and some of your projects. How I plan to break it out is starting the 2nd Sunday of every month and the following 20 days will be for comics. Anything before that and after that is for commissions and your projects.
For example (get your calendar ready!) Nov 1st-7th and was for commissions, 8th-28th for comics and then 29th-30th for commissions again. In December it will be 1st-5th and then 27th-31st for commissions and 6th-26th for comics. Make sense?
If you have an idea to spend you BB on, please let me know and I will put it in the queue. If it is a flip comic (such as Spa Day and Wanderer's Comic), please give me one page with all of the dialogue you would like. For Little Lorna 's diary, you can write up the diary entry or just give me the idea.
For some reason, I looked back at this comic (Women's Work Part 2) and have new interest in it. I know why but I'm not going to go into it here. I'd love Little Lorna to have her #metoo moment. Little Lorna really has a rough time in this comic and I guess I'm not as sensitive to putting her through it. lol.
December is always crazy busy for me with comics, work and running the Secret Santa however it looks like we have a small group this year so I'm going to see if artists want to submit more art.
I just want to mention something about the current pandemic we're in. We always knew it was going to be a bad winter. No matter what the numbers were like during the summer, I've been telling everyone that there is ALWAYS a second wave which will be three-five times worse then the first wave. So... if your country had 2000 deaths in the first wave, expect 6000 additional in the second. If your country had 200,000 deaths, you should expect an additional 600,000. I know its depressing to think of that but better to be prepared then surprised. 95% of these deaths will be people in their 60's, 70's and 80's+. If you are in this age range be EXTRA careful!
For the younger people, it is important for you to keep yourself safe however this is not like cancer which is a personal diseases. This is a COMMUNAL disease and it is the responsibility of everyone to be more conscientious of how their actions affect one another rather than the effect on themselves. I hope that makes sense.
As with other global crisis that we have gone through (wars, depressions, pandemics) its always the countries that managed the crisis best that come out of it stronger afterwards. Every crisis can easily topple even the most powerful of nations so... do your patriotic part!
