Hey there, nudies! With our new artist Anne onboard the project, we thought this would be a good opportunity to start cementing the general aesthetic and presentation of MNL. Check out the options menu mock-up above! Anne's apparently spent most of their life making UI prototypes for games they'd love to work on, and those skills are finally being put to work on a real game, now!

This style won't just be trapped to the main menu, of course. We've even been applying it to our insert panels, from Anne's cool screen-tone coloring...

Down to even the border panels themselves!

Even our text box is being reworked!

We're still in the process of designing these elements and implementing them in-engine, so expect to see MNL looking cooler than ever! I have to say, Anne's Y2K aesthetics has me really tempted to set the game around the early 2000s... I was originally aiming for a "timeless" approach, de-emphasizing smart phones and the like. But the more I look at the art and UI, the more I start to wonder how much it would take to re-tweak things and set the story itself in say, 2003... Might be time to open my script files again.

That's all for now, though! Thank you all so much for the support! See you next week!
