Hi Zak... I have just bought your book both audio and paperback... I have just rescued a small dog here in Spain and she is so nervous she has problems even going outside... she is better around the house but that’s is only after 3 weeks... can you steer me in the right direction? I know patience is the key but I want to make sure I am patiently going in the right direction not patiently backwards hahaha

So I try ot go to dog parks when others are not there as our rescue puppy is not quite off leash trained. But I like giving her new experiences. I try to get her on her leash when new dogs arrive. More for the safety of the owners--she loves to jump up on people and gets very excited. Mostly if the other dogs are in to saying hello to her that keeps her off the owners for the most part. But I have to say, so far every place we've been the other owners give us permission to go off leash. And boy does that make our puppy's day. She is so incredibly social and is not afraid of any other dogs. This is troublesome though. So when another dog growls at her and she doesn't back off, how can I help her learn that is not a dog to play with? I will separate them, but he just goes back. So then we end up leaving the area.
