Jesus was clearly a deer because it allows me to draw more deer and I enjoy the "crown of thorns" pun that only exists in my head.

Man, I do love the design of that big droopy dog face! Father Francis will appear a few times in this comic, not enough to get a real character, but in the narrative he takes a practical moralist worldview. I'm not interested in a political takedown of this worldview in this story, but it's an umbrella ideology that I have supreme contempt for, and I think Disco Elysium sums up why poetically:

The Kingdom of Conscience will be exactly as it is now. Moralists don't really have beliefs. Sometimes they stumble on one, like on a child's toy left on the carpet. The toy must be put away immediately. And the child reprimanded. Centrism isn't change – not even incremental change. It is control. Over yourself and the world. Exercise it. Look up at the sky, and ask yourself: is there something sinister in moralism? And then answer: no. God is in his heaven. Everything is normal on Earth.
