Hey y'all! I hope December is treating you all right. I'm in San Antonio for the winter, family is quarantined so I'm gunna have me a tiny Christmas. Oh well!
Little Willy
I'm not sure if this post is a great idea, but it's something I've been working on, and there's no plot spoilers. Let me know if you're not interested in seeing THIS MUCH work in progress stuff!
When I make a comic, I tend to draft keystone scenes that are important to me at the time. As the comic comes together, I ruthlessly throw away the scenes (attached below) that interrupt the pacing or become defunct, but making these scenes is critical for getting a sense of characters and how they interact. Check em out if you're curious!
"Little Willy" is turning out to be a 1970s gay Jesuit college drama. It's about a very stubborn (willful) self-hating gay student who establishes a "counter confessional" in contrast with the Catholic confessional and bangs some dudes.
I'm having a lot of devilish fun with the themes and I'm hoping it all comes together by the end of A&J chapter 2 so I can put it up in the vote queue!
Art Tutorials
I feel like I'm getting established with this comic thing, maybe even enough to help other folks out. I'm not the greatest but I can at least show how to do work of my quality.
I'm thinking of setting up a limited-slot tier you could join that would let you interact directly with me for things like redlining, drafting help, writing help, and other creative suggestions. It would probably take the form of a telegram channel or discord or something similar.
If you think you might be interested in that sort of thing, speak up! I really don't know if there's any interest.
Take care, everyone! Mwah
