John Wick - Demo #1 plus John Rambo - Demo #2 (Patreon)

Here is another demo for your ears dear patrons!

This one features a John Wick verse. It was a section of the battle that had been developed first, so it had been fleshed out a lot in writing sessions before Zach recorded these lines. 

The opening couple of bars we had locked in as the starting point we wanted for Wick. The dinner reservation reference was just so cold. We loved it. You'll also hear other lines which ended up making it into the final battle like the "virtuoso / dad joke popo" and "excommunicado / commando" bars. But the majority of the verse would end up being re written.

This demo also features a revamped John Rambo verse. Most of the lyrics had changed from the first Rambo demo, but most of these new lines would once again end up being cut from the final battle. That's just the way the writing goes. Got to be ruthless but some good stuff ends up being left behind in the process.

Being excommunicado wasn't more than I can handle,

So I think I can withstand an excremental ex-commando.

Looking like Chewbacca but shaven and less understandable.

From bullet time to bullet proof suit no ones colder,

Brush the dirt of my shoulder, cos this is over.

JOHN RAMBO:

Nothing is over. Nothing! You just don't turn it off.

Unless it's one of your movies. In which case I just turn it off.

I'm the original lone wolf known for killing enemies,

The PTSD veteran, shoot you down like Kennedy.

Obscenities are best left for sailors and truckers,

But you can yippee-ki-yay these muscles motherfuckers.

Cos I'm ripped, jacked, Mr Wick you're John Wack.

Try to puncture this jugular your pencil will snap.

So pump the breaks on that Mustang mouth of yours,

Or I'll leave you like Daisy, whimpering on all fours.

It was just a fucking dog John, why throw such a fit?

Take a hint from McClane's hairline and just quit.

Even if you joined forces you can never stop this,

I'll end you like Mortal Kombat. Mission Accomplished!

I'm sharp on the beat like my survival knives,

Leave you languishing in loss like either of your wives.

This is gonna end messier than Die Hard 5,

Cos only one of us is leaving this battle alive.

Watch me step into the woods and disappear like a ghost,

And then ding, I'll pop up hot behind like toast.
