Well, if you've known me for a while now, it should come as a no surprise to you that I try to stay away from OC commissions for a multitude of reasons.

Primary reason being that while it sounds like an easy task to draw an OC based on the client's ideas, inspirations, other examples of similar characters and etc...it's actually a very difficult task to achieve an OC design that completely fulfills the client's requests.

If you don't believe me then here is a simple experiment you can conduct with a friend.

Take a friend to the nearest Subway and describe for him the Sub you'd like to order but you're not allowed to use the specific terms like meatballs, olives, etc. You're allowed to describe in a vague manner of what sub you want with words describing how it would look and taste or with 2d pictures of similar looking sandwiches.

Now that your friend has the image in their minds, they will go order the sub for you. See if they managed to perfectly get your order down to the last veges and sauce. xD

OC art is a similar process, a near impossible task to visualize what the other person is designing in their head. Drawing something that already exist like your left or right hand is hard enough as is, but drawing someone else' imagination is a step above or so I'd like to think.

This one however had very simplistic designs...in that they're really not wearing anything that covers a lot of their body. (They might as well be naked really lol...) I do hope that one day I'll be much more confident in my skills to be able to draw OC designs, though I feel the outfit designs will be the hardest for me personally.
