this is definitely THE gfriend sound. as soon as the song starts, you'd know that this is gfriend. i personally love sunrise too because literally every member sang high notes, and eunha shined in here triple high note too. when apple was released, a lot of people liked it, but a lot of people also didn't like it because they prefer the original 'gfriend' sound. however, i think apple is also very good, it is a new side of gfriend that they wanted to explore. it's actually funny because when they release a song that has the 'gfriend' vibe, some people complain because they 'never' change their sound. but when apple (a very new sound of them) was released, they still complained. nonetheless, gfriend is gfriend. i like them because they are unique on their own.

This is my first time listing to this song and wow I got chills when the chorus played, the vocals were really nice but I only liked the chorus. In general i'm not a fan of gfriends music style but I liked their newest song apple it was a unique sound

I think their song "fever" is a good choice for suggesting it to anyone who does not know them. my favorite of their songs at this moment is "Falling Light" and "Memoria" Japanese songs. as you know something different in Japanese songs by Korean artists they make their voices shining way more in Japanese songs

На самом деле, я думаю что GFRIEND недооценены, может потому что они уникальны в своём звучании... Они на самом деле очень сильны и в хореографии(не раз брали награды в танцевальных номинациях)(они стали новаторами в таком направлении как "ускоренные танцы"(и их по праву называют королевами в этом плане),их хвалят за их синхронность и тяжелые движения. В вокале они тоже очень сильны, одна из самых сильных именно вокальных групп, и одна из самых стабильных. Девушку, чей голос ты выделил вначале видео, зовут Yuju (Юджу, ударение на Ю), она главная вокалистка группы, ее называют одним из самых сильнейших женских голосов третьего поколения(чаще всего именно она берет высокие ноты в песнях). Также у gfriend есть своя история на которых построено их творчество, есть теории и тд. Я бы посоветовала тебе посмотреть "Time of the moon night", "Fever", "Crossroads" и какую-нибудь танцевальную практику))))

Немного истории😂 Они, как и Бантаны, из маленького агентства(Source Music) , дебютировали в 2015 году и довольно таки успешны и известны в Корее, нежели за границей... Директора BigHit и Source Music очень хорошие давние друзья , даже здания их агентств находились через дорогу 🤣 Оба агентства были мало известны и у них было всего по одной действующей группе, агентства помогали друг другу во многом(финансовые вопросы и тд.). Некоторые девушки из gfriend бли стажерами в bighit. Не раз замечалось что фотосессии Бантан и gfriend проходили в одних местах, они записывались в одной студии звукозаписи и тд. Вообщем агентства очень близки. И вот в 2019 году Source Music официально стала дочерней компанией bighit. Девочки, можно сказать, теперь тоже часть семьи bighit

Hey thanks for doing this reaction Aaron! Like ICE said, this song is pretty emblematic of gfriend's sound in that they use a lot of real instrumentation that has a very orchestral, grand sound combined with the vocals and poppier vibe. As for the video, almost all of gfriend's videos are connected in one continuous story so getting an exactly correct explanation for this MV is pretty much impossible but essentially Eunha (the one on the piano) is separated from the rest of the group during this MV (the theories on why vary wildly from time travel to death) and the other group members can only see her when they are dreaming. At the end, Umji finds the last puzzle piece to complete the sheet music and plays the piece, I believe the same piece as Eunha is playing, and this musical connection let's the members all be together at the same time. My personal opinion though is that it's an illusion and SinB realizes it while she is still dreaming which is why we see her crying and Sowon waking up alone again at the end of the MV. Thanks again for giving them a fair shake! Sounds like their style may not be for you but I at least wanted you to hear one song that was typical of their sound rather than only Apple which is by far an outlier.

I'm in the camp that didn't like Apple much even though I'm a huge buddy. It's not because it was a new sound for me (I love Fingertip with a passion), it just felt... generic to me which is completely subjective. I think the girls performed awesomely. The vocals and choreo are on point and their acting in the MV is awesome. I just didn't like the song much as a song if that makes sense.
