So excited to re-watch this with you! Btw I noticed that you're watching it with English [CC] subs which are usually subs for dub versions so there might be some inaccuracies in translations, usually the English ones are more accurate

So excited you’re watching this — mostly because even though I love Bona and Taeri is one of my favorite k-actresses of all time, I never managed to make it past the first episode? So I’m hoping this is a blank slate, plus things are always more enjoyable when I get to watch with you. :) (Side note that I think may have been brought up by someone else — English CCs are for the Deaf and HoH, which not only means they’re captioning the English dubbed version, but also tends to mean that they only include descriptions of things that are intended to be audible to the audience. It’s a much different experience than translated subtitles, but some shows are consistent between the two and others…are very much not, lmao.)

Love that you're enjoying this one! Kim Taeri shines so much in this role. The fact that I first saw her in The Handmaiden where the themes are so dark and twisted to here where as a 30 year old woman, she gives such authentic adolescent energy wow. I was definitely weary of the age gap as I usually am when you see gaps like this. I don't know how it'll be for you but as the show continued I found that the storyline progresses to a point where it wasn't much of an issue for me. I think you'll find that both of their character development really helps in that. Huge character growth for both of them in this series.

This was my drama of the year last year and one of my top dramas ever. So glad you're watching it! Can't wait to experience everything all over again with you. :) Kim Taeri really is incredible. Bona absolutely shines too (especially once she actually gets more scenes, haha.)

so excited to rewatch this with u, its one of my faves. btw for next time I'd recommend to switch the subs to only English and not English CC, because thats for the dubbed version and sometimes what they are saying its not really whats is on the subs
