Honestly, Exy best leader! Not in the fandom (yet) but no one talks about that enough. Anyway, I'd like to butt in with my 2 cents here. I watched these stages on YouTube before watching the episode just so I can try and be even more unbiased but I think my rank didn't change much. As a viewer of this season's Queendom with no biases or stans among this line up (literally using Q2 as a jumpstart to stan-dom for these groups), my rank would go as follows: 1. HYOLYN (Probably... A lot likely? Listen, these were all bomb ass performances. This is kinda hard to rank.) 2. WJSN (Pretty interchangeable with 1st place tbh because that was a FLAWLESS performance but lets just place them here for now. FYI, you can't tell me they aren't the Oh My Girls of this season. If their popularity doesn't skyrocket like OMG after Q1, I'll eat my shoe.) 3. VIVIZ (Not a buddy but these 3 knew their advantage and they took it. Personally, something Gfriend related would've been SO impactful for the 3rd round's Fandora's Box. That's where you make them cry, I say! But also, those STRINGS on that transition to Rough? GOD-TIER) 4. LOONA (That performance was just up my alley! The theme? The costumes? Just my taste! But it didn't take until the 3rd watch for me to fully appreciate it. Initially my thought was that it was missing something) 5. BRAVE GIRLS (They did that! But for sure among all the contestants, they lack in dance the most. Comparatively. They could've gone the Mamamoo way, and had minimal choreo. I know they wanted to showcase their skills, and with that, the fanfare was amazing, but their strength seems to be in their vocals. They should've leaned into that more.) 6. KEP1ER (I have no knowledge of this group whatsoever tbh, and with that lack thereof I can firmly agree with what Yeoreum said "It felt like a music show special stage.") I wish the groups would lean into that "Picking a group Above" them, because that shit got so wholesome during Q1. Someone in Kep1er mentioned when they realized no one else picked anyone above was that they weren't lying, and whoever did more amazing than them deserved that acknowledgement. It's strategic to not pick, yes, but let's up that wholesome ante, please. Shit like that could feed a generation of us, multi-stans.
