Bloodmaws are a nightmarish species of Aberrations born from the unholy fusion of Void shards and vampire spawn. Each of these horrific creatures features a massive maw unnaturally held open by the limbs of vampire spawn, revealing spirals of razor-sharp fangs that descend into an endless abyss. Atop this dreadful orifice, clusters of Humanoid heads feature pallid, tightly stretched skin over lifeless skulls with eyes that hold the endless depths of the Void. Their bodies are a horrifying fusion of supple flesh and a tough, insect-like exoskeleton, radiating a malevolent aura that distorts the air and earth around them.

Origin

In a grim bid for power, dark arcanists and vampire lords combined Void shards—mysterious relics believed to be remnants of eldritch deities—with the bodies of feral vampire spawn. This arcane ritual was shrouded in secrecy and performed under ominous celestial events. The chaotic essence of the shards fused with the vampires, unleashing an uncontrollable surge of eldritch energy. The first bloodmaws emerged from this maelstrom, a grotesque embodiment of vampiric grace and abyssal terror. These early creations were unstable, wreaking havoc on their surroundings, transforming once grandiose vampire citadels into desolate wastelands. Once the first stable bloodmaw roared into existence, it marked the dawn of a new era for the ancient vampires as they tapped into their progeny's dark powers.
